Here at the JUICY MEAT COMPANY. we feel it is our obligation to ensure that we do what we do in a way that does not negatively impact the world around us.

The meat industry has come under fire in recent years, not least the factory farming conditions and deforestation required to meet the rising demands for cheap meat production.

With greater societal awareness of greenhouse gas emissions and the damaging effect they have, there are also rising concerns over the impact of livestock farming on the global ecosystem.

Part of our mission is to procure meat that does not come at at significant ecological and ethical cost - the livestock we deal with is not factory-farmed but rather taken from producers we know and trust. Our fieldspeople visit and audit these farms regularly to ensure that the animals are being well-kept and that our producers are doing their bit to minimise their impact on the environment.

At our main site, we have a zero-waste-to-landfill policy, and are able to source 25% of our energy from renewable sources. We are hoping to increase that figure as time goes on. Many of the farmers who we work with are also working towards harvesting renewable energy sources.

We are regularly involved in research and development studies to work towards minimising livestock emissions through changes in diet.
